Do I think that this surgery will be a panacea for everything in my life? No. However, a couple years ago I committed to fully stepping into my truth and standing up for love in a way that does not sacrifice my values and my self. I am modeling that for my daughter. How then could I continue to live with such a massive double standard within my body once I allowed myself to see it? I can't. So they go. I am standing up for health, well-being, love and truth over the fear of rejection and acceptance and society's brainwashed vision of beauty and desirability. I hope we all can feel more empowered and confident to just be ourselves---however that looks. We are each here to shine our uniqueness.
